My name is Mélissa Laflèche and I am the designer and founder of Makin’it Lovely. I am an Interior designer, event decorator, country girl and pet parent to the friendliest Bernese Mountain Dog, Teddie! My heart and my passion are centred around everything that involves decoration, styling and design for lovely places and events. I have always loved decorating and styling and more recently have become obsessed with weddings. I love helping couples fulfill their vision for their special day. I love searching and browsing for new pieces to include in my rentals collection. My partner Miguel is also part of the company as an installer and also my handy man! Fun Fact: I am a big dreamer so he's really realistic and can keep me grounded (most of the time)!

A FEW THINGS
We live at St-Albert and its about 30 minutes East from Ottawa. I always suggest my clients to have room for ice cream or poutine because we are located 5 minutes from the cheese factory. We also live where Miguel lived all his childhood. It’s a lovely property with a lot of space and I always forget to mention that we have a giantess farm. I am also a full-time designer for the House of Commons! Yes, there is some design and styling at government.
